Tubes

NiTinol tubing is supplied in different alloy types, diameters and wall thicknesses and in different surface treatments. For a complete specification, the following parameters have to be defined:

Alloy types: NiTinol tubing is available in different alloy compositions, even though about 95% of all produced tubing is superelastic (Alloy N and S). A very small quantity of non-superelastic tubing is supplied as actuator or martensitic materials (Alloy M).
Thermomechanical condition tubing is normally supplied in straight annealed or set into specific shapes (springs, hooks, etc.).
Surface preparation from standard dark grey oxide up to light blue, ground, polished or ultra-fine polished tubing surfaces. Note: obviously the inner surface of a fine capillar tubing cannot be treated in a defined way.
Tolerances: Standard tolerances depend on the diameter. For example a tubing of 2,0 diameter is typically supplied with a tolerance window of ±0.05 mm. Tighter tolerances are possible and can be supplied upon special request.

Conditions:
• Af-temperatures between -100°C up to +120°C (standard alloys 0°C up to +80°C)
• Alloy fabrication possible upon special request

Available as:
Alloy N (Superelastic)
Alloy S
(Superelastic)
Alloy C
(Superelastic)
Alloy M
(Shape Memory)
